Above we can see Arcos de la Frontera's location between southern Spain's most important cities: Sevilla, Malaga, Jerez de la Frontera (& nearby- Europe's oldest town: Cadiz), Gibraltar & Marbella- with Morocco looming large across the shortest point between Europe & the African continent.

Closer up- we can see the Guadalete river (looks green because of the foliage that crowd its banks) which borders the town at its southern end & feeds into the lake.

The old walled town (which holds 4000 people) can be seen at this altitude, three of the seven churches & both cathedrals are visible.

With the town & lake on the left we can see the six or seven kilometers (3 or 4 miles) to the Cortijo Barranco.
